Paleokastritsa Beach is considered to be one of the main attractions in Corfu. The beach is an extremely clean beach that boasts of crystal clear waters that are ideal for swimming. It also offers exciting boat excursions from each of its ends to the grottos and caves located nearby.
Secret Tip – While in the area is really worth driving up the hill to visit the 13th century Orthodox monastery and the small museum with religious icons.
Also make sure you visit the ner by Angelokastro castle.
Angelokastro was originally built in the 12th century by Manuel I Komnenos, a Byzantine emperor. It also served as a watchpoint that was used to survey Adriatic sea lanes by the Venetians. However, despite the numerous repairs and renovations, there is little to explore in Angelokastro apart from a few cisterns and an underground church.
